What does 2014 have in store for Roman Reigns?

It’s no secret that the WWE may be looking for their next big star considering John Cena has maybe five or six years left in him. With the talent they have on the roster, they could choose from almost any mid-card up and comer and mold them into the next big thing.

Right now guys like Big. E Langston, Roman Reigns, Bray Wyatt, Damien Sandow and Dean Ambrose are being considered. But after the way things went down at Survivor Series, it looks like it’s pointing towards Reigns than anybody else.

If you haven’t watched Survivor Series, it came down to a two on one after Reigns was the only guy left on his team. He tied a Survivor Series record that night after eliminating four members of the opposite team. With the odds stacked against him even though he’s a power house of a man, the young star didn’t let the numbers get to him.

Reigns eliminated both Goldust and Rey Mysterio as he received a huge pop from the crowd after picking up the victory. In my opinion he’s always been the stand out for this team because of his power. His mic skills could use a little bit of work but other than that, he has what it takes to possibly become the next big guy.

It will be interesting to see what the company do with Reigns by the time the Royal Rumble arrives. The idea right now is to have him either break or tie the eliminations record that Kane currently holds. The record sits at 11 back in 2001 when he eliminated Grand Master Sexay, Steve Blackman, Al Snow, Raven, Saturn, Honky Tonk Man, Tazz, Crash Holly, Albert, Scotty 2 Hotty and The Rock.

If Reigns receives a push, it will be at the Royal Rumble. He may not win the Rumble but it will result in big things for him in 2014. I can possibly see either a championship match for him sometime around the later half of the year. No idea which title but for right now it sounds like it will be for the Undisputed Championship.

The new WWE Championship didn’t last that long.
