It hasn’t always been an easy ride for Tony Romo as the quarterback of the Dallas Cowboys, but now, he stands all alone atop at least one list that chronicles the history of the National Football League.

Romo tossed his 18th career touchdown on Thanksgiving with his 4-yard pass to Dez Bryant at the 5:31 mark of the 3rd quarter, and that vaulted him atop the all-time list for most TDs on this particular holiday. In all fairness, Romo has the insane (and built-in) advantage of playing each and every season on Thanksgiving as a member of the Cowboys, but it does show both longevity and effectiveness on his part.

This particular touchdown tied the game against the Oakland Raiders at 21-21, but of course, the “worry” is never about Romo before the 4th quarter. It’s a big-time compliment to Tony Romo’s ability to see him atop a list that includes Roger Staubach, Danny White, Matthew Stafford, etc., and in his case, there is plenty of time to put this record in a place where it will be nearly impossible to break.
