Giants hopeful Hakeem Nicks can play Sunday
By Josh Sanchez
The New York Giants are just a couple of games back in the NFC East and they could remain in the mix if they get a big divisional win over the Washington Redskins in Week 13. One way to ensure they are able to get past the Redskins would be to take advantage of the Redskins horrendous pass defense, which they will be able to more effectively if wide receiver Hakeem Nicks returns to the line up.
Nicks was able to practice on Wednesday, so his chances of suiting up on Sunday are looking good and the team is responding with some optimism.
“Hopefully we’re going to see,” head coach Tom Coughlin said, via the New York Daily News. “That’s why he’s going to practice. Hopefully he will.”
Of course, it is still highly unlikely and improbable that the Giants can make a postseason run, but they won’t go down without a fight. In the end, that is really all you can ask for, but the team and their fans would love to see the Giants go on another late miracle run.
