The Oakland Raiders have been without former first-round draft pick Darren McFadden over the course of the past few weeks, but he appears poised for a return to the field on Thanksgiving afternoon when his team travels to AT&T Stadium to take on the Dallas Cowboys.

ESPN.com is reporting that McFadden is set to play against Dallas, but he will be coming off of the bench and serving as a change of pace running back to Rashad Jennings.

While McFadden has been out of the line up, Jennings has been able to lead the NFL in yards from scrimmage over the past month. He has done enough to earn the full-time starting job, so McFadden is now delegated to a back up role.

McFadden and his Raiders do not yet believe that he is back to full strength, but he doesn’t appear willing to remain on the sidelines any longer and he’ll look to bounce back in a big way on the national stage.
