The Denver Broncos are already hobbled as they prepare for this weekend’s game against the Kansas City Chiefs, but their AFC West rivals received a bit of a surprise when it was announced on Friday that Broncos defensive end Derek Wolfe had been ruled out for the game.

The Chiefs also have a banged up defense, so they will be looking to exploit any mismatch they can. If they get a good enough look, that could mean running the ball right at Wolfe’s opening all day long.

Wolfe is a world-class defender and a force against the rushing attack, so his presence will be greatly missed.

Hopefully for Wolfe, he can find a way to recover and be at 100 percent for the crucial game, so that the Broncos running defense will be able to slow down Jamaal Charles and company in the Chiefs attack.
