In a star studded Dallas Cowboys roster, including difference makers like Dez Bryant, DeMarco Murray, and Jason Witten, you would think they couldn’t possibly have any other great impact players. Well think again, wide receiver Cole Beasley is on the rise as well.

Beasley may not have been big on the stat sheet, but he made plays when the team needed them the most. He caught 10 of his 19 yards on a huge 3rd and 10 situation, which helped the team on the drive that gave them the lead yesterday.

It’s hard to imagine how someone who has three catches can make an impact, but that’s exactly what he did on Thanksgiving day against the Oakland Raiders.]

According to ESPN, head coach Jason Garrett spoke about Beasley,

"“When he is in the slot, he is a hard matchup for a lot of people,” coach Jason Garrett said. “When you have those guys around him — Dez on one side and Witten, Miles and Terrance, defenses have to pick their poison. He is a guy that finds a way to get himself open vs. man coverage and vs. zone. Tony has a good feel for throwing it to him."

The Cowboys currently have a playoff spot if the season were to end right now, but obviously that won’t be the case. They are currently in the driver seat, and if they can keep playing the way they’ve been over the past few weeks, they could very well hold onto that playoff berth.
