It appears Matthew Stafford‘s desire to throw to the other team isn’t only hurting himself, but his wide receivers as All-Pro Calvin Johnson reportedly injured himself attempting to break up an interception in Thursday’s victory over the Green Bay Packers.

Johnson sat out the majority of the fourth quarter, which wasn’t all that costly considering the Lions had a commanding lead in the blowout win but it’s just another in a long line of nagging injuries Johnson has dealt with this season:

"Calvin Johnson sat out most of the fourth quarter after landing hard on his back while fighting for an interception in the end zone. Schwartz said Johnson’s injury wasn’t serious and that there was no point playing him late in the blowout."

Despite the injuries, Johnson keeps on ticking as the best wide receiver in the league and it appears no man or bruise/tweak/twist can stop him.

It’s expected that Johnson will be placed on the injury report this week but he is not likely to miss Week 14.
