The New York Knicks currently sit at 3-11, among the worst teams in the NBA. They have a roster that seems to be having inner-conflicts and their franchise player, who will be a free agent at season end recently suggested he’s ‘not having fun’.

Needless to say, it looks like some changes need to be made. But one change that won’t happen is trading Iman Shumpert for Dion Waiters of the Cleveland Cavaliers, this according to the New York Post.

Waiters, the fourth overall pick in the 2012 NBA Draft is rumored to be on the trading block and being shopped by the Cavaliers. The Knicks might have some interest, but not at the cost of Shumpert:

"An ESPN.com report stated the Cavaliers asked about Shumpert as they shop young guard Dion Waiters. The Knicks aren’t interested in Waiters as they are looking for frontcourt help, not another shooting guard."

It’s a tough call for the Knicks considering Waiters seems to be a bit boom-or-bust in regards to his future NBA prospects. It’s hard to say no to a player who is only a year removed from being selected in the top five of the draft, but apparently New York isn’t biting until the price is lowered.
