In a hard fought battle between two rising AFC teams, Cincinnati came out ahead over San Diego, by a score of 17-10.

Cincinnati was able to pull out a victory despite not putting up huge numbers on the stat lines. Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton completed 14 of 23 passes for 190 yards, with one touchdown and a pick.

His primary target for this game has been his main guy for most of the season, A.J. Green. Green racked up 83 yards and a score in his five catches. BenJarvis Green-Ellis led the game in the rushing category, with 20 carries for 2 yards and a touchdown. Giovani Bernard was right behind with 14 carries for 57 yards.

San Diego fought valiantly, but came up just short. Philip Rivers led the charge for the Chargers, completing 23 of 37 passes for 252 yards and a touchdown, although there was also an interception thrown. Running back Ryan Mathews led the team in rushing yards with 61, on 14 caries.

Wide receiver Keenan Allen had another impressive performance this season, catching 8 balls for 106 yards, which was a game high.

The 8-4 Bengals will face the 8-4 Indianapolis Colts at home next week, while the 5-7 Chargers will take on the New York Giants, also at home.
