The Chicago Bears are currently picking apart this Minnesota Vikings defense through the air.

Second year man Alshon Jeffery is currently over 200 receiving yards, the first time a Chicago Bears wide receiver has been over 200 yards in a long long time. He passed up Harlon Hill put up 214 receiving yards in 1954 against the San Francisco 49ers then Johnny Morris hit 201 against the Dallas Cowboys in 1962.

This offense is absolutely on fire right now after having a slow start during the first half of this game. With a quarter left to play, this offense has no intentions of slowing down. They’re going to need to show everybody in this league that they’re not ready to give up on the NFC North or playoff picture just yet.

They started off strong, but slowed a little bit after Jay Cutler fell to the injury.

Now earlier int he game, Alshon Jeffery was hit by Josh McCown on a vertical route for a huge 80 yard touchdown. This one was a 46 yard touchdown that looked like Jeffery was channeling his inner David Tyree and Calvin Johnson.

It was good enough to put Chicago up 20-10 on the Vikings.

He currently has 10 receptions for 234 receiving yards.
