The Washington Redskins get to play in the national spotlight in Week 13, when they take on the NFC East rival New York Giants on Sunday Night Football. The Redskins are out of the playoff mix, but there is plenty of pride on the line as they look to shake off their struggles and rally together.

One key offensive player for the team is tight end Jordan Reed, who missed last week’s game with a concussion. However, this week it appears that he will be available to suit up against the Giants.

FOX Sports is reporting that Reed has been cleared to play, which is great news for Robert Griffin III and the Redskins offense.

If the Redskins don’t turn things around in the final weeks of the season, we could see plenty of shake ups coming to the roster and coaching staff. Having Reed back on the field will hopefully help the team with their turnaround.

Reed is a reliable target and mismatch for opposing defenses, so Griffin should be more comfortable on the field with Reed out there.
