On Sunday morning, it was reported that New England Patriots running back Stevan Ridley was not expected to have a big role in the team’s Week 13 match up against the Houston Texans. Now, with the team’s inactives list being released, it has been confirmed that Ridley will not play much on Sunday.

In fact, Ridley will not be playing at all.

Ridley has been ruled a healthy scratch for the team, as they match up with Houston on Sunday afternoon.

Brandon Bolden, LeGarrette Blount and Shane Vereen will play running back by committee, while Ridley watches from the sidelines.

Ridley landed in Bill Belichick’s dog house once again after losing a fumble for the third straight game. Ridley has been fumble prone all season long and the latest mistake may have cost the former LSU star his starting job for good.

It’s an unfortunate turn for Ridley, who is the Patriots most talented running back, but fumbling issues will always land you on the bench. You have to learn to take care of the ball.
