A few days back, trash-talking Carolina Panthers wide receiver Steve Smith shot out some verbal barbs in the direction of former NFL defensive back, Fred Smoot.

Smoot, who is likely more famous thanks to his connection win the Minnesota Vikings ‘Love Boat’ scandal than his on field play didn’t take kindly to Smith’s shots, suggesting that he (Smith) ruined Smoot’s career.

The defensive back didn’t see it like that and proceeded to lash out at Smith in a recent interview where he called the Panthers wide receiver ‘Pinocchio’ and suggested he’d fight Smith right now if he could, calling him soft and a bully in the process:

"‘I think he’s a bully. Actually, I think he’s a weak bully at that. And I’ll be honest with that. I don’t care about saying that. He’s Steve Incognito to me. I call him Steve ‘Pinocchio’ Smith, cause he’s a liar. He went on national t.v. and lied. He’s a liar.’"

Smoot continued:

"‘And the thing about Steve, me and him hate each other. If I run into Steve Smith in a Giant right now, I’ll fight Steve Smith in a Giant right now. I don’t give a — I don’t care.’"

It’s quite the rant and an amusing one at that, so take a few minutes of your day to read it.
