See ESPN, this is what happens when you try to go cheap and and cross-platform NBA guys to the NFL.

Stephen A. Smith, notorious antics maker, appeared on First Take this morning as the hosts were discussing the Seattle Seahawks beat down of the New Orleans Saints, much of it part to the solid play of quarterback Russell Wilson. Err, Russell Westbrook. Err, Russell Wilson. Westbrook? Wilson?

Apparently, Smith isn’t very aware of who was anchoring the Seahawks’ victory Monday night either as at least three times, he referred to Wilson as Westbrook:

In fairness to Smith, it’s a relatively easy thing to do once, especially as an ‘NBA guy’. But a second time? And then a third time? And where was the producer correcting Smith after the first, let alone second mistake?

Of course, this is the same host who may or may not have fallen asleep during a segment before, so, I guess we shouldn’t be that shocked.
