For any Vikings fans reading this, this might come as a surprise.

Earlier in the season, Adrian Peterson was rumored by many to be on a trade block for a struggling Vikings team, but he reassured fans that he wanted to stay in Minnesota. Now things are looking a little different for last year’s MVP, albeit not by much.

From an article on ESPN.com,

"“You know, I’d be a liar if I said it’s something that hasn’t crossed my mind before,” Peterson said on SVP and Russillo. “But I’ve also said to myself it would be so amazing to be one of those players who stays with one team his entire career, it would be good if I could do that. But being from Texas, I’ve always wondered, wow, it would be cool to play in Dallas, to play back home. Or to play in Houston.”"

Seeing Peterson wearing Minnesota purple for his whole career would be awesome, but it is unclear how much gas he has left in the tank, even though it seems to be on “full” all the time.

He’ll be with he team until at least 2017, so Vikings fans don’t have to worry for a few more years.
