Darren McFadden's ankle injury is worse than expected

The Oakland Raiders were hopeful that running back Darren McFadden would be able to go on Sunday against the New York Jets, if Rashad Jennings is unable to recover from his concussion in time for their Week 14 match up.

However, now it is looking like there is no certainty that McFadden will be able to play on Sunday because his ankle injury is worse than initially expected.

From Steve Corkran of the Contra Costa Times:

There is still plenty of time for McFadden to get healthy enough to where he can play on Sunday, so we will have to monitor the situation closely throughout the rest of the week to see whether or not he will need to suit up.

Love ya RUNDMC. Best of luck with your next team.

If he goes in Sunday less than 100% healthy, he WILL go down before the game ends. Put him on IR now. Get it over with. See if we can trade him before the end of the season. For him to be hurt this often tells me his conditioning is HORRIBLE and he does not know how to play the position correctly. Imagine a race care driver driving as recklessly as D.M. runs. The car would be crashed every race. You don’t win races by crashing.

I enjoyed to few games he really blew the doors off the chiefs. But he’s gotten way too much money for the production total. It’s like a much longer drawn out Russell (caused by injuries and not stupidity). Wish him well and hopefully a comeback , but not with us….
