The Jacksonville Jaguars got off to a hot start tonight against the Houston Texans in the first half of their game on this week’s edition of Thursday Night Football. This team has come quite a way since they were the laughing stock of the NFL a few weeks ago, as they seem to be making some strides in the right direction.

But still, while they have played rather well to begin tonight, there’s still going to be times where they just come up short, like wide receiver Cecil Shorts did just a little bit ago.

Shorts found himself wide open down the field, and so did Chad Henne. Henne fired one off to Shorts, who probably could have taken it to the house.

Unfortunately, he just couldn’t lengthen those fingertips long enough to haul it in:

Again, this is the game of football and this will happen from time to time. It’s a game of inches, remember? Sometimes, you just don’t have enough.
