On Thursday night, Jacksonville Jaguars running back Maurice Jones-Drew showed the world his vintage form as he helped his team build an insurmountable lead over the Houston Texans, but he was forced to leave the game early with a hamstring injury.

Today, it was reported that Jones-Drew would need to undergo an MRI, but the veteran running back does not feel that he is in danger of missing the team’s Week 15 match up against the Buffalo Bills.

In fact, if you are a betting man, you should put your money on him starting if his assessment is correct.

“Definitely,” Jones-Drew said during an appearance on SiriusXM Fantasy Sports Radio.  “Definitely.  That’s always been the plan.  Right now, I mean, I just want to make sure everything is on track.  And then we’ll see how it goes next week but I expect to be out there playing with my teammates.

“It’s what we, I think, what we figured out was just a strained hamstring. I’ve played with those before so it’s not that big of a deal.  You just have to get the necessary treatments and things done so you can get back and get on the field for Sunday.”

The Jaguars have turned things around this season and are currently on a three-game winning streak, which they would have a great chance of advancing to four if Jones-Drew is able to go.
