Earlier this week, it was shockingly reported that Arizona Cardinals quarterback Carson Palmer found himself on the injury report – odd because Palmer finished out his Week 13 contest against the Philadelphia Eagles without incident.

Or so we thought.

Noticing many of Palmer’s attempts were under-thrown, AZCentral went back and noticed the Cardinals quarterback had his elbow bent back awkwardly during the game which seemingly altered his throws. Palmer was quiet about the injury but initially coughed up and said his throws were hampered due to the injury.

The Cardinals didn’t fear there was any long term damage done but Palmer’s status for Week 14 became slightly murky in recent days. However, it appears Palmer will be on the field and starting vs. the St. Louis Rams in Week 14 as Arizona fights for a playoff spot:

"Cardinals QB Carson Palmer, listed as questionable for Sunday vs. STL, took all snaps at today’s walkthrough and is expected to start Sunday"

The last thing the Cardinals needed was to lose their starting quarterback when every game is a must-win.

Arizona currently sits one game behind the San Francisco 49ers for the final playoff spot in the NFC.
