New York Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz was one of the first players rapper turned mogul Jay Z represented on behalf of Roc Nation Sports, a firm launched by Jigga Man himself.

Cruz ended up securing quite the hefty deal thanks to his agent Tom Condon and Jay’s Roc Nation, though it was obviously not near the absurd amount given to Robinson Cano on Friday, another Roc Nation client.

The Giants’ wideout spoke on the Cano deal recently and suggested that it was nothing more than a ‘steeping stone’ for Jay and Roc Nation, all but hinting he’ll change the agent game:

"“The proof is in the deal,” Cruz said Friday. “It’s a big day for them.”“It’s just a stepping stone,” Cruz said. “It’s proof anything can be done if you put your mind into it and you have the type of backing and the type of people you have around you that do the right thing and understand the business — anything can be done.“It’s a true testament to the way [Jay Z] does his business, and the way he goes about it — the right way.”"

Cruz obviously is saying the right (and expected) things considering he’s a client of the firm, though the deals the relatively new company has pulled off in recent months are certainly impressive and have to be making waves in the agent community, where many thought Jay Z launching himself into the world of agents was laughable.
