The Chicago Bears are in a tough fight for the division with the Detroit Lions despite missing Lance Briggs, Charles Tillman and Jay Cutler.

This defense has struggled a lot this season but is still in the hunt for a Wild Card berth. I’m sure they would much rather have the division title, but in order to do that they’ll need McCown to follow through on Monday and hopefully Briggs and Cutler return to the team.

Lance Briggs suffered a fractured shoulder and was said to be out for at least six weeks. Well it’s almost going on seven and some of these fans are starting to get worried.

Briggs was having a pro bowl season before he got injured. The man was a freak of nature and was all over the field. Now that Urlacher’s gone, Tillman and Briggs are pretty much the heart of this defense and without them, what else is there?

Yeah the team has Julius Peppers and Tim Jennings, but Peppers hasn’t really had a season worth talking about. The guy started off slow but is slowly getting things going.

Hopefully Briggs will be able to return next week.
