The Super Bowl Champion Baltimore Ravens were in a tough battle against a Minnesota Vikings team hoping to play spoiler during the final four games of the season.
They almost spoiled Baltimore’s playoff hopes today but were unable to get the job done. Starting quarterback Joe Flacco was able to connected with two late touchdowns in this game that eventually helped lift the Ravens over the Minnesota Vikings.
This game didn’t have much scoring within the first three quarters but things picked up in the fourth. Flacco and the Ravens were down 12-7 with two minutes left in the game until he was able to find veteran tight end Dennis Pitta for a one yard touchdown.
That touchdown made it 15-12 and things got crazy after that. After Toby Gerhart put Minnesota on the board after a 41 yard touchdown run, Jacoby Jones responded with a 77 yard kick off return.
Cordarrelle Patterson and Matt Cassel connected on a 79 yard touchdown pass with 45 seconds left which gave them the 26-22 lead.
Flacco got the ball back and was able to find wide receiver Marlon Brown for a nine yard touchdown pass with only four seconds left in the game to give them the 29-26 lead.
An absolutely crazy game in Baltimore.
