Minnesota Vikings RB Adrian Peterson says MRI ‘came back great’
By Bryan Rose
If Adrian Peterson would have had his way on Sunday, he’d have returned to the field after suffering what looked to be a relatively nasty injury.
Peterson, who was yanked down from behind on a tackle was seen rolling around in a considerable amount of pain but told coaches he wanted to return. That obviously didn’t happen and the team sent Peterson for an MRI on Monday, of which Peterson says the results ‘came back great‘:
"Peterson will see a foot specialist on Monday as further evaluation along with more X-rays and a CT scan.“Well, it’s a little painful,” Peterson said. “Obviously it kept me out of the game. The MRI came back great so that’s good. Just got to get a CT scan to make sure the bone is OK.”"
What exactly ‘great’ means we’re unaware of, that said, one could reasonably assume his injury isn’t season ending – at least in definition.
However, the 3-9 Vikings could have a different view than Peterson who they would understandably like healthy for 2014.
Peterson’s status for Week 15 will be determined later in the week.
