A pitching rotation that features Clayton Kershaw, Zack Greinke and David Price? Sounds like a nightmare for opposing offenses, but one that the Los Angeles Dodgers front office is open to making a reality.

According to the Los Angeles Times, the Dodgers have contacted the Rays about Price in hopes of swinging some type of deal for the talented, though soon to be pricey pitcher:

"The Dodgers have made the Tampa Bay Rays aware of their interest in David Price, according to a person familiar with the situation who spoke on the condition of anonymity."

It should be noted – the Dodgers aren’t ‘aggressively’ attempting to pursue Price according to the Times, but rather informed the Rays that if they are interested in moving their ace, to give them a phone call.

It may be a difficult match considering the Rays demand for highly touted youth in such a deal, something the Dodgers aren’t exactly full of. There are exceptions, like Corey Seager and Julio Urias, who the Rays would likely have interest in, but the Dodgers have said over and over they don’t want to gut their future for a quick shot at a title.

Of course, when you have a potential rotation featuring the aforementioned Kershaw, Greinke and Price, you may change your tune.
