The Baltimore Ravens got a wild win over the Minnesota Viking sin a game that was back and forth down the stretch. In those final minutes in the game tight end Dennis Pitta played a critical role in his return to the line up. He caught six passes for 48 yards and a touchdown and made a key 18-yard catch on the final drive to set up the winning touchdown pass to Marlon Brown.

“I remember when I got injured, I didn’t know if I was even going to play football again,” Pitta said, via the team’s website. “So being able to stand here and talk about a victory and being a part of that is special for me. And just being a part of this team and being able to fight the way we did today is pretty remarkable.”

His teammates were excited to see him back as well.

“Seeing him out there back healthy, it does my heart justice. He’s going to help us big going into this stretch,” fellow tight end Ed Dickson said. “Once he had his surgery and they said he had a chance to play, I knew he would work hard enough to get back. The things that he did behind the scenes go unsaid, but we know how hard he worked. Just to see him reap the benefits and come back and help us finish this season the way we want to.”
