San Francisco snapped a two-game losing streak to the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday with their close, 19-17 victory at Candlestick Park.

Rather than just move on from the game, some players have chosen to fuel the growing rivalry with some heated post game commentary.  As you may have guessed, ever-quotable Seattle corner Richard Sherman has been right in the middle of all of that.

As has been reported by several outlets, Sherman blamed the referees for the loss, and had a few other eye opening tidbits for public consumption.

"We didn’t project it to be this way,” Sherman said. “We expected to blow them out, but they got the benefit of a few calls throughout the game and that helps you especially on third down. We will see them again, and it’ll be a different result.”"

Sherman and 49ers’ wide receiver Anquan Boldin got in each other’s faces a few times during the game, and the Seattle corner was ready with an explanation for that as well, according to Casey Pratt at CSN Bay Area.

"“When it’s so rare that you catch a ball, you’ve got to celebrate it,” Sherman said."

Boldin had a game-high 6 receptions for 93 yards and has 67 receptions on the season, more than any receiver on the Seahawks.

Not sure where Sherman was going with that one — perhaps he was joking?
