The Miami Heat take on the Indiana Pacers at 7 pm ET on NBATV.  This is the first matchup of the season between the two Eastern Conference foes.

The Heat (16-5) are on a two-game winning streak, but have had trouble of late with the absence of shooting guard Dwyane Wade.  Wade has missed three of the last four games, and of the three that he missed, the Heat lost twice.  He did not participate in the morning shootaround, but Brian Windhorst of ESPN is reporting D-Wade is expected to play.

The Pacers (18-3) have the best defense in the league, and the Heat lack scoring options. LeBron James and Dwyane Wade make up for the lack of a balanced scoring attack, so Wade needs to play for the Heat to have a chance.

Everyone will be looking forward to the Paul George-LeBron James matchup, and rightly so.  George is averaging 25.1 points, 5.8 rebounds, 3.4 assists, and 2.1 steals per game.  James is averaging 25.4 points, 6.2 rebounds, 6.3 assists, and 1.3 steals per game.  Both players place emphasis on both ends of the court, and while LeBron remains king, George is a rising star in the league.

Who do you think will win?  I’m picking the Pacers, but let me know what you think in the comments section.
