Chicago Bears quarterback Josh McCown has done an excellent job since filling in for the injured Jay Cutler, and he continued his success on Monday Night Football with a spectacular performance that led the Bears to a blowout win over the Dallas Cowboys.

McCown completed 27-of-36 passes for 348 yards and four touchdowns, which was enough to earn him the honor of NFC Offensive Player of the Week.

It’s certainly something that McCown is deserving of, but it is a bit surprising that the award didn’t go to Philadelphia Eagles running back LeSean McCoy. In a snowy match up against the Detroit Lions on Sunday, McCoy lit up the Lions defense to the tune of 217 yards and two touchdowns.

Then again, this is a quarterback driven league, so a 300+ yard, four touchdown performance will catch the eyes of more people.
