Cincinnati Reds’ outfielder Shin-Soo Choo is probably the best free agent left on the market, or at least the free agent left on the market who is going to get the biggest contract.

According to Bob Nightengale of of the USA TodayChoo is said to be looking for a deal worth about $140 million over seven years.

According to Joel Sherman of the New York Post, there are two leaders for Choo.

“I’m sure others want to get in, but #Mariners #Rangers are the lead dogs,” an executive told Sherman.

Jeff Passan of Yahoo is now saying Choo is looking for an even bigger deal, which is how he hasn’t decided on a team yet. Passan says the “general sense among teams involved in Shin-Soon Choo sweepstakes is whichever team goes eight years will land him” and that he is “believed to have seven.”

Last season, Choo batted .285, had an on-base percentage of .423 and slugged .462. The 31-year old hit 21 home runs and drove in 54 runs. Choo originally started with the Seattle Mariners, before joining the Cleveland Indians  in 2006. Last year was his first season in Cincinnati.
