Denver Broncos wide receiver Wes Welker suffered his second concussion in as many weeks on Sunday against the Tennessee Titans, which left his status for the team’s Thursday Night Football match up against the division San Diego Chargers in serious jeopardy.

With a short week to prepare, it was highly unlikely that Welker would be able to play but there has been no official report.

However, Jay Glazer of FOX Sports says that Welker will not suit up on Thursday night.

The Broncos will need to have other options step up without Welker in the mix, but they could still take advantage of a vulnerable Chargers secondary.

San Diego needs a win if they want to stay alive in the AFC Wild Card race, so this is a very crucial game to kick off Week 15 of the regular season.
