The 4-9 Jacksonville Jaguars are one of the hottest teams in the NFL, having won four of their last five games.  But as Ryan O’Halloran, the Jaguars beat writer for the Florida Times-Union reports, they are missing a number of key players at practice on Thursday.  Wide receiver Cecil Shorts and running back Maurice Jones-Drew are the most notable, but not having a player like Jonathan Cyprien would be a big loss as well.

Jones-Drew is reportedly going to test his hamstring on Friday while Shorts continues dealing with a groin injury.  The Jaguars look to keep their hot streak going as they host the Buffalo Bills this week, but if they are missing any or all of those players, it could be extremely difficult to pull off a win.  Should Shorts be unable to play, Chad Henne’s top receivers will be Ace Sanders and Mike Brown along with their tight end Marcedes Lewis.

After a pair of losses including an overtime loss to the Atlanta Falcons, the Bills are looking to get back on track and build some momentum for next season with quarterback E.J. Manuel and the rest of the offense.
