The hunt for outfielder Shin-Soo Choo continues as the 31 year old South Korean born outfield weighs his options.

He’s picked up some interest from the Baltimore Orioles, Seattle Mariners, Texas Rangers, New York Mets and several other teams in hopes of signing the final contract of his career.

According to Bob Nightengale on Twitter, the Houston Astros could very well be a landing spot for Choo for 2014 and beyond.

The Houston Astros do have the money to offer him the contract he wants and more, but they’re no where close to becoming contenders. You figured he would sign with a potential contender, but this league has always had some unexpected twists when it comes to the off-season.

Now newly signed center fielder Jacoby Ellsbury could be changing the market for Choo after receiving a seven year, $153 million deal he signed to wear pinstripes.

Choo could be asking for an eight year deal worth a little more than Ellsbury’s contract. We’ll just have to wait and see what he takes.
