When the Dallas Cowboys lost to the Chicago Bears on Monday Night Football, they fell a game behind the Philadelphia Eagles in the race for the NFC East crown. The Cowboys essentially have to win the final three games of the season to win the division.

Former Cowboys quarterback, and current NFL analyst, Troy Aikman thinks the they’ll still win the NFC East.

“Dallas does control their destiny as you said. I do think it will come down to the last game of the season,” Aikman said of the season finale against the Eagles on The Musers on KTCK-AM, via the Dallas Morning News. “The fact that they play that game in Dallas is huge. I guess that’s why right now I would give the nod to Dallas as far as being able to win the division.”

“If that happens, the last game of the season is essentially a playoff game. But I don’t that any wild card team whether it’s Dallas playing at home or Philadelphia playing at home is going to do real good with the idea that you’re facing San Francisco, New Orleans or Carolina. Those are three pretty good teams. You’ve got to get in if you’re going to have a chance to win it all. Whoever the winner of the East faces in the first round of the playoffs, they’re not going to be better than the team they’re playing. The only advantage they’ll have is that they’re playing at home, and I don’t know that that’s going to be enough.”
