The Detroit Lions are looking to pick up their first division title for the first time since the 1993 season.

The division wasn’t the NFC North back in the 1990’s, it was actually the NFC Central. A division that consisted of the Lions, Chicago Bears, Minnesota Vikings, Green Bay Packers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. I have no idea how that last team managed to be squeezed into the Central, but it was later fixed after the 2001 season.

Anyways, the Lions and the Chicago Bears are currently tied for first place in the division while the Green Bay Packers are just a half game behind. With Aaron Rodgers missing yet another game yet again on Sunday, both Chicago and Detroit will be rooting for the Cowboys.

A loss against the Cowboys could make it difficult for the Packers to stay in the hunt for the division with only three games left to play.

Now with the Lions preparing to take on the Champs, wide receiver Calvin Johnson has been dealing with a knee issue. Right now Johnson has been listed as probable for Monday Night’s showdown, but his status has never really been in doubt.

This late in the season? Yeah, you can count on Megatron being out on that field and doing what he does best.

Running back Reggie Bush has had himself a beautiful first year with the Detroit Lions but is currently dealing with a calf injury. Staying healthy has always been something Bush hasn’t been able to do but he was limited this week during practice and is expected to play.

He is listed as questionable but he’s someone they will need for the final games of the year.

Linebacker Chris Houston on the other hand has been listed as doubtful. He’s nursing a toe injury and will accompany Darius Slay on the sidelines on Monday Night.

Jonte Green will pick up the start alongside Rashean Mathis if Houston is unable to go on Monday.
