Through two quarters, the San Francisco 49ers as expected have had no trouble with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this afternoon.

Case in point? This touchdown reception by Vernon Davis.

With just under two minutes left in the second quarter, San Francisco was facing a first and ten from the middle of the field. They could have opted to play things from a conservative standpoint, but decided to go deep where quarterback Colin Kaepernick found tight end Vernon Davis streaking down the field. The end result was a 52-yard touchdown grab, though, it was what happened after the touchdown which got people talking.

Davis, who seemingly lost his balance after the grab had his momentum drive him towards the ‘padded’ wall. Then, for whatever reason, Davis channeled his best Gus Frerotte and used his head as the brake.

The 49ers star tight end was understandably shaken up after the play and was escorted back to the bench by teammates looking somewhat woozy, though could be seen smiling on the bench just moments later.
