The Chicago Bears decided to start Jay Cutler at quarterback against the Cleveland Browns. The decision was a hot topic of debate in the week leading up to the game based on how well Josh McCown has been playing in his absence.

It was praised by some and criticized by others. At least one Browns player felt like Cutler was the right decision and he was a ‘different monster’ than McCown.

“No disrespect to (backup) Josh McCown, but Jay Cutler is a different monster, and we’re definitely going to be prepared for him,” Browns safety Tashaun Gipson said, via The Plain Dealer. “Anytime you’re dealing with who I perceive is one of the more elite quarterbacks in this game — Cutler, he’s arguably a top-10 quarterback in this game — I think that amplifies the situation.”

Well it didn’t take long for Cutler to throw an interception and make every Bears fan question the decision. In all fairness this isn’t entirely Cutler’s fault, it was tipped. Still, Cutler threw to a fairly well covered receiver he shouldn’t have been throwing too.

The man who made the interception? Tashaun Gipson, the same man who praised him earlier in the week.
