The Carolina Panthers are trying to get back on top of the division after a tough loss against the New Orleans Saints last Sunday.

This Panthers team is surely to lock up at least a Wild Card spot after having themselves an amazing regular season. With the leadership of Cam Newton, I have a feeling this team is going to become a better team over the next couple of years. With the Atlanta Falcons struggling and looking like they may have an iffy season in 2014, Carolina should compete for the division once again.

Running back DeAngelo Williams and quarterback Cam Newton were able to hook up on a 72 yard touchdown reception to go up 13-6 on the New York Jets.

DeAngelo has three receptions for almost 100 receiving yards with a touchdown ontop of having 22 rushing yards.

Newton has over 220 passing yards after completing 12 of 15 attempts with his touchdown going to Williams.

It was the first play on that possession that took only 20 seconds to put up six points.

No question Williams is a key cog in the Panthers offense, all they need is a good blocking FB and Hartsack (TE) back and this team would be a true run first team. The Panthers with a little luck are in a good position to make a run at the SB, all they need to do is keep disguising their weaknesses until the young guys get more experience and a couple of good, good, drafts. Go Panthers and pound those Saints.
