Michael Hoomanawanui hauls in one-handed TD for Patriots (GIF)

The New England Patriots entered today’s game against the AFC East rival Miami Dolphins without star tight end Rob Gronkowski and wide receivers Aaron Dobson and Kenbrell Thompkins. That left plenty of questions about how the team would make up for the loss of production, but they have been able to find players to step up.

One player who made his presence felt early was tight end Michael Hoomanawanui, who wasted no time doing his best Rob Gronkowski impression.

Hoomanawanui was covered by Dolphins linebacker Philip Wheeler, but Tom Brady made a perfect pass in to the corner of the endzone that Hoomanawanui was able to haul in with just one-hand. These are exactly the plays that the team will need from their skill position players down the stretch to keep the offense rolling.
