Earlier this week, we heard Washington Redskins head coach Mike Shanahan talk more than we’ve heard him talk in all his years coaching the Redskins. After benching Robert Griffin III, Shanahan is being pegged as a coach who is trying to get fired but he’s done answering questions about that whole matter.

The chatty Shanahan we saw on Wednesday was not in the mood to answer non-football related questions after the team’s 27-26 loss to the Atlanta Falcons and walked out of his press conference when those type of questions inevitably came up.

You can’t blame the Washington media for asking Shanahan about media leaks in his locker room, as when the circus off the field is more interesting than the one your team plays on it, you’ve got more than a few problems on your hands. As we’ve seen this season, that perfectly defines that Redskins and Shanahan has reached his limit.

CSN Washington reporter Rich Tandler reports that this is the first time Shanahan has cut a press conference short during his time with the Redskins but as we all know, he was running out of time to cross that off his bucket list.
