The Jacksonville Jaguars have had a rough year by in large, which was expected, but wide receiver Cecil Shorts has been a consistent bright spot and the best receiver on the team.  Shorts missed this week’s game against the Buffalo Bills where the Jaguars lost 27-20 with this groin injury.  The 4-10 Jaguars would like to continue building on this run of 4 wins in 6 weeks, but they are unlikely to do anything that could potentially put Shorts at risk for next season.

Shorts has caught 66 passes for 777 yards and 3 touchdowns on the season with his last great moment coming on the game winning touchdown catch from Chad Henne against the Cleveland Browns.  The hope for the Jaguars is that with a healthy shorts, Marcedes Lewis and what they hope is Justin Blackmon able to stay on the field, they can find a quarterback and put together an effective offense.  The Jaguars host the Tennessee Titans this coming week.
