Redskins TE Jordan Reed still experiencing headaches after concussion

Considering the Washington Redskins benched Robert Griffin III for the final few games of the season, claiming ‘health’ reasons, they may do the same with tight end Jordan Reed.

Reed, who hasn’t played in a month has been dealing with the after affects of a concussion and is reportedly still experiencing headaches, a scary sign considering the length of the injury:

#Redskins Mike Shanahan: says Jordan Reed still has a headache today. Still not cleared.

The Redskins felt Reed may have had an opportunity to play this past weekend and even upgraded his status to ‘questionable’ on Friday, though quickly deemed him ‘doubtful’ just a day later before eventually ruling him out.

Head injuries are obviously nothing to play around with and given the fourth consecutive missed game, it may be best for all parties just to shut Reed down for the remainder of the season.

Reed will continue to go through the motions and is hopeful to eventually get clearance from the medical team before season end.
