LeSean McCoy tricked Eagles into thinking Cowboys won on flight home

The Philadelphia Eagles suffered an embarrassing loss to the Minnesota Vikings on the road. Meanwhile the Dallas Cowboys, who they’re fighting with for first place in the NFC East, was leading the Green Bay Packers 26-3 at home.
Eagles running back LeSean McCoy was the only one on the flight home with internet access and he let his teammates think the Cowboys had won.
“Because nobody knew except for me, so whatever I said they had to believe,” McCoy told Anthony Gargano and Ike Reese of 94WIP on Monday night. “I was just joking with some of the players. When I was talking to Chip [Kelly] and Howie [Roseman], I was serious.”
He eventually came clean and it helped the Eagles overcome the big loss and lift their spirits. Since both teams lost they stayed atop the division.
“It definitely did [helped our spirits],” McCoy said. “I didn’t feel like a loss either. If you lose, you don’t want to talk. So, it didn’t feel like a loss, which is bad to say I guess.”
