Earlier this weekend, rumors about a three team deal that would move Omer Asik to the Boston Celtics surfaced but today we’re learning that this isn’t really a reality. While the Rockets want to move Asik and really like Boston Celtics forward Jeff Green, a deal isn’t likely and if the Rockets want to move Asik before Thursday, it’ll have to be to someone else.

The rumor at the moment is that Houston is really high on Jeff Green and love him in a trade, but the Celtics apparently like him more and especially like him in Celtics colors.

Of course, saying Houston likes Green isn’t really much to base talks off of as I could say I love LeBron James on the Chicago Bulls but that doesn’t mean the Heat are looking to move him. You shouldn’t doubt that the Rockets like Green, it’s the other team — the one he plays for right now — that you should be asking about the talks.

Houston is reportedly going to move Asik this week but if they do, Jeff Green won’t be involved in the deal.
