The Los Angeles Lakers may be a team that many used to look at as a power in the Western Conference but the days of Laker dominance seems to be over and the days of the aged and tired Lakers is here. We can add ‘injured’ as an adjective as the latest news on Jordan Farmer is that he’s going to miss time which means yet another Lakers point guard is out with an injury.

Maybe they should stop drinking the water Kobe Bryant is giving them.

But while the Lakers are down yet another point guard this season, don’t expect them to be making a move in free agency or via trade to add a replacement. According to Lakers beat writer Mike Medina, Los Angeles will stand pat and wait for their guards to heal up on their own.

"Despite their depleting point guard depth, the Lakers don’t expect to add a point guard either through the free agency market or a trade. Instead, they will continue to delegate point guard duties to Kobe Bryant, Xavier Henry and Nick Young."

It’s possible for the Lakers to make a move, as they have an open roster spot and some flexibility with their salary cap despite being a tax team. But just because they can make a move won’t mean they will as the Lakers will just try to fight through the injuries without adding healthy bodies to the banged-up roster.
