Thaddeus Young found himself at the heart of trade rumors over the past 48 hours and from the sounds of it, he was embracing talk of him leaving Philadelphia. Young won’t be moved in a rumored Omer Asik deal but if he had a time machine and could go back to ensure he was dealt, he likely would.

The reason for this is Young’s recent comments about the young players on the Sixers roster. Young spoke to Tom Moore of the Bucks County Courier Times and vented about how frustrating it is to play with inexperienced players he feels are just trying to make a name for themselves.

"“Some of the young guys on the team just don’t know,” Young said. “When you’re dealing with them, the frustration level does get it up there because you’re not used to it. I’m used to guys who are four- and five-year veterans in this league and that can play. And then you have one- and two-year guys that come in fresh and they’re trying to make a name for themselves.”"

That doesn’t sound like a guy who’s buying into the system and sounds like a player trying to get traded. Young is a veteran on the youthful Sixers team and clearly isn’t agreeing with the style of play that is going on in Philadelphia and wants out.

He’s been at the heart of trade rumors whenever Philadelphia is mentioned, and after these comments, it’s likely that Philly finds a way to part ways with Young that is mutually beneficial to both Young, the Sixers and the up and coming roster Young is blasting.
