Brandon Carr highlights Dallas Cowboys’ injury report

The Dallas Cowboys are still in the playoff hunt despite losing in heartbreaking fashion to the Green Bay Packers this past weekend.

Every team, and I do mean every single team, in the NFC East lost in Week 15, so that means the playoff picture didn’t change whatsoever. The Cowboys, at 7-7, are still a game behind the 8-8 Philadelphia Eagles, so Dallas still has a chance to win the division.

They’ll need to win out, or hope that if they lose this weekend, Philly loses also. The two will then play in Week 17 for the division. If the two teams finish with the same record, Dallas has the tie-breaker.

If Dallas is to win the next two games, cornerback Brandon Carr will be an important part of that. The Cowboys defense basically imploded in the second half against the Green Bay Packers last weekend, so to get back on track, they’ll want to be at full strength.

Unfortunately, according to Calvin Watkins of ESPNDallas.com, Carr missed practice with an undisclosed illness. To make matters worse, cornerback Morris Claiborne is out with a hamstring.

The other players that missed today’s practice, according to Watkins, are wideout Dwayne Harris with a hamstring injury, linebacker Ernie Sims with a groin injury, and wide receiver Terrance Williams, also with a hamstring.

With a big game against Washington coming up, the Cowboys’ injury report at this moment is not encouraging.
