The Chicago Bears are currently in first place after beating the Cleveland Browns and getting a little help from the Baltimore Ravens.

With two games left, the Bears need to close out the year with both wins. Right now it’s looking like a Wild Card berth could be out of the question with the New Orleans Saints/Carolina Panthers and San Francisco 49ers holding down both spots.

So it’s safe to say, it’s either win the NFC North or try again in 2014. It’s been a frustration but exciting season for Bears fans (like myself), but a bit of a tear jerker when it comes to this defense. This Sunday’s game will put them up against the games leading rusher in LeSean McCoy and a dangerous quarterback in Nick Foles.

They’re coming off an upset loss against the Minnesota Vikings, but should have a field day running all over this Bears defense. Chicago has allowed guys who haven’t had big games all year, rush for over 100 yards or more against them. So what will they let McCoy do against them this weekend?

This team figured it would be receiving some good news when it came to outside linebacker Lance Briggs. Briggs is trying to come back from a fractured shoulder that has sidelined him for around seven weeks now. He’s returned to practice, but hasn’t done any hitting.

Now according to Zack Zaidman on Twitter, when Briggs was asked if he’ll be playing on Sunday, he responded with ‘We’ll find out soon.’.

If he’s unable to go on Sunday, that will be a major concern and factor for this Bears defense. They already have two inexperienced linebackers in their starting group.
