The Houston Texans are looking for a new head coach. In the meantime, defensive coordinator Wade Phillips is serving as interim head coach. When discussing the upcoming game with media, Phillips made some comments that could ignite a bit of a debate.

Offensive players are flopping,” Phillips told the Denver media Wednesday via Jeff Legwold of ESPN.com. Phillips, aware of the controversy that could come from these comments, added: “I certainly don’t want to get fined as an interim coach.”

The Denver Broncos have a veteran defender in cornerback Champ Bailey. He made a similar observation when asked about it based on his time in the league.

“No question it’s different than when I first came into the league,” Broncos cornerback Champ Bailey told Legwold. “You could do things 10 years ago, you can’t do now. They want points, they want receivers to get the ball. You have to adjust, but I’d say they’re getting what they want.”
