John Wall scored 21 points, dished out six assists and grabbed four rebounds, Nene had 17 points off of the bench and Bradley Beal and Trevor Ariza each added 15 points for the Washington Wizards, who defeated the Brooklyn Nets 113-107 on Wednesday night.

The Nets were led by Paul Pierce, who came off of the bench to score a season-high 27 points on 10-of-12 shooting, had six rebounds and three assists.

Brook Lopez had 22 points and five rebounds in his return to the court from a sprained ankle, Joe Johnson poured in 20 points and Deron Williams had 15 points and 13 assists for the Nets, who entered the night having won three of their last four games.

The Wizards controlled most of the game, but the Nets rallied late and were able to cut the lead to 101-100. The Wizards responded with a Marcin Gortat tip-in and a Beal three-pointer to push the lead back to six with just 1:08 to play.

Obviously, the Nets had defensive issues, allowing the Wizards to make 12 of their 20 three-point attempts, but their biggest problem came on the glass where they were outrebounded by 20.

The Wizards are now 11-13 while the Nets are 9-16.
