Richard Sherman picks teammate Thomas as best defensive player

Richard Sherman has been an unstoppable force in the secondary this season, but if you asked him, there is someone better. If he were to vote for the NFL’s defensive player of the year, he would pick a teammate of his. According to ESPN,

“I would have to give it to Earl,” Sherman said. “I think if there is anywhere that the defensive player of year should be, it should be in Seattle, whether it’s myself or Earl. But Earl is having a fantastic year. He’s flying around tackling everywhere, forcing fumbles, getting interceptions. I don’t think there is anybody out there playing better defense, and our defense is number one in the league. So I think he should get it.”

Both Sherman and Thomas could have a big game against the New York Giants, whose quarterback, Eli Manning, is throwing interceptions by the seconds it seems.
